Eaglercraft
Full browser Minecraft, no install required
Eaglercraft runs Minecraft in the browser and connects to ordinary Java servers through a websocket. It is built on TeaVM, so players on Chromebooks or locked-down machines can join your server with nothing to install.
It is the same server and the same world. The only difference is where players join from.

Is it actually free?
Yes. Ad revenue pays for the hardware, so you never enter payment details. Paid top-ups, where enabled, are optional.
How many ads for a Planks server?
200 credits a day. That is 4 ad watches, roughly 2 minutes of viewing. You can split it across the day; the cap is 12 watches.
What stops abuse?
Daily watch caps, per-IP rate limits and hard resource limits on every server. Ad claims are verified on the server and the credit ledger is append-only.
What exactly is Eaglercraft?
A browser port of Minecraft built on TeaVM. It connects to normal Java servers through a websocket proxy, so browser players and launcher players share one server.
Can I keep my world?
Servers run real Minecraft jars with standard world folders. You get full file access and scheduled backups in the panel, and you can download everything whenever you like.
